(NORWALK, CT Feb. 25) - - - The JCK Events (June 4-7, 2010) team continues to make
important connections with retail jewelers, state and national associations and through customer
outreach, visits and ‘listening tours" to tap into present and future needs.
Over the past few weeks, the JCK Events (JCK Las Vegas and LUXURY by JCK) teams
have made trips to shows in Miami and Tucson. They have conducted in-person retailer visits in
the tri-state, metropolitan NY regions of the US and presented 2010 event plans and new updates
to the 2011 JCK Events move to Mandalay Bay.
"We continually keep our pulse on the market by going where the industry goes and
meeting retailers in their stores to see first-hand how the industry is coping with the shifts and
changes in the marketplace," said Dave Bonaparte, Group Vice President." We have a regular
schedule of advisory board meetings for both JCK and LUXURY, a combination of informal and
formal meetings and a dedicated team of professionals who genuinely show their passion for the
industry."
JCK Events has created strong partnerships with the AGS (American Gem Society) and
the AGS Conclave to support their association and educational activities. In addition, JCK Events
has created special programming and experiences for numerous state associations including
New York; New Jersey; North Carolina; South Carolina; Texas Lone Star GIAAA; Arkansas;
California; Kansas; Nebraska; Iowa; Missouri.
"We have dedicated resources for retailer visits and enthusiastically embrace the
opportunity to get closer to customers," said Yancy Weinrich, Industry Vice President, JCK
Events. "We come back with great insights and ideas for programming to make the JCK Events
experience the best it can be. We are truly grateful for their feedback and commitment to JCK."
And while industry development continues, many manufacturer customers are continuing
to support JCK Events. For example, LUXURY and JCK Events welcomes new and returning
companies from other Las Vegas shows such as Disney & Fufoo- Precious Collections along
with William Henry Studio, Royal Asscher® of America Inc., Robert Lee Morris, Assael,
Fope, Furrer-Jacot, Christofle Silver, William Levine Fine Jewels, William Henry Studio and Staurino.
"Our efforts to build the most comprehensive, business-building platform for the
international jewelry community is ongoing with essential business partner meeting opportunities
that build and sustain relationships," said Bonaparte. "Through these efforts, JCK continues its
retail-focused positioning while understanding the difficult market environment that continues to
adversely affect retailers. Therefore, we will continue to offer the successful VIP program that was
a catalyst for $360,000 in sales for exhibitors at the 2009 event," said Bonaparte. "Our mission is
to support our customers' businesses and the industry's best interests and we will keep the
strong momentum going into 2011 when we move to Mandalay Bay."
JCK 2011 at Mandalay Bay is currently 98% sold out with all of the major industry
associations and groups pledging their support. These include: The American Gem Trade
Association (AGTA); Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC); Hong Kong Jewelry
Manufacturers Association (HKJMA); Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America (MJSA);
LUXURY; Plumb Club; Prestige Promenade; Swiss Watch and Vicenza Oro Italian Pavilion.
These were among the very first to sign up for 2011 and support the move to Mandalay Bay.
