One of the many highlights of Las Vegas 2010 was the JCK "Rocks the Beach" Welcome Reception at JCK's new 2011 venue at Mandalay Bay where over 3000 gathered to experience the new campus. With cool cabanas and entertainment, JCK guests were able to shake the Las Vegas heat at Mandalay Bay's famous beach. Other special events included the JCK Design Center Fashion Show, featuring international model Flaviana Matata.

JCK Magazine held its official debut at JCK Las Vegas with a 'meet and greet' opportunity with the editors and new publisher, Mark Smelzer, who returns after a short absence. The JCK Magazine, the industry's authority, has recently undergone a complete makeover with new features, columns and contributors.

Celebrity sightings were everywhere at JCK throughout the weekend. Perrey Reeves, from HBO's "Entourage", Gilles Marini, of recent "Dancing With The Stars" fame, former football player and "Dancing With the Stars" alum, Warren Sapp, "Apprentice" Bill Rancic & his wife, Giuliana Rancic, and Nicky Hilton were on hand last week in Las Vegas.

How to Cautiously Yet Profitably Replace Watch Batteries

Swiss trained watch repair instructor and gemologist Jean-Jacques Mamie, is the owner of a watch service company called Swiss Connection, and a retail jewelry store which operates under his name in Dana Point California. Although proficient with all major brands, Jean-Jacques has worked with Cartier, Piaget, Concord, Corum and other famous brands over the past 30 years.

This seminar is designed to benefit the average retail jeweler or technician, currently involved in offering the watch battery replacement service - that would like to learn proper technique. Attendees will also learn which watches to avoid servicing without formal training.

The Design Center Fashion Shows will provide retail buyers with a variety of jewelry representing the newest selection of styles in one destination. The Fashion shows will be on the Design Center runway stage and end with a parade taking place throughout the exhibit hall.
