The education program at JCK Las Vegas 2010, kicked off one day before the exhibit floor opened to packed sessions focused on Business and Colored Gemstones. Education programming continued throughout each of the show days on the exhibit floor. Retailers listened to inspiring sessions presented by seasoned industry veterans on how to improve social networking communities and how to increase sales of gemstones, diamonds and improve promotions.
The opening keynote, presented by Shane Decker, from Ex-SELL-Ence, provided retailers with tools and tips to increase their business acumen. Decker told retailers that they must constantly improve and train, train, train their sales associates in every product category and encourage group selling. Day two’s keynoter Ken Gassman, a jewelry industry research analyst, presented the vigorous bridal jewelry opportunities for retailers. Gassman presented ways that retailers can use the bridal sale as an opportunity to keep the couple as customers for life -- beginning with the sale of their wedding bands.
